Detectives investigating an armed robbery of cash in transit around midday, Thursday, November 11, 2010 are renewing their appeal for information. Two guards, a man and a woman, were threatened by two white men with guns outside the Murco garage, London Road, Stanford le Hope.
The robbers made off in a burgundy coloured Ford Escort. A similar car was found burnt out near Colne, East Tilbury shortly after the attack.
Anyone who witnessed the robbery or may have seen people leaving the area of Colne, East Tilbury is asked to contact police at Tilbury on 0300 333 4444 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
