A TEENAGER, who subjected his mother to a violent rampage in her own home was fined at Grays magistrates court yesterday (Friday).
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had argued with his mother on the 19th November in their house in South Ockendon.
The court heard that the youth smashed a door, a wooden bannister, various items of crockery, three picture frames, a wooden cabinet and a Sky remote control to the value of £200.
His mother was present at court and told the presiding magistrate that although her son is living with his aunt, the family are trying to get back together.
The youth was given a conditional discharge for six months.
