Thurrock Council’s gritting teams have been busy as the snow continued to fall overnight (1 December).
Gritting crews travelled the main routes three times overnight — following up on two gritting runs on Tuesday (30 November). Secondary routes are also being gritted today.
The continued cancellation of refuse collections means that those crews will again be out across the borough clearing snow from shopping areas, school and GP surgery approaches.
The heavy overnight snow will mean that many areas cleared on Tuesday will have to be cleared again today.
Gritting work will continue throughout today and as long as the inclement weather conditions continue.
YourThurrock’s viewers have reported that the Chadwell hill, which was extremely difficult yesterday has been passable today (so far).
