AS YourThurrock trudges around the borough, it is interesting to see which organisations are remaining open.
Award-winning Play 2 Learn Day Nursery have been incredibly diligent in remaining open for their clients.
Owner Jacky Roast said:
“Looking at the news reports this evening it is warmer in Greenland than it is in Thurrock !.
Well here the children have had a great time coming to nursery over the last few days playing in the snow, and we have made it a fabulous learning opportunity for them. We carry out a daily review of the weather and the service we can provide and despite schools and nurseries closing throughout Essex I am delighted that Play 2 Learn will be open again today ( Friday ).
We do all we can to keep open, because if we close it will give our parents child care issues for them to retain their jobs in these difficult financial times.
My thanks again to my fabulous team for getting to work in the snow and ice.
I have been here since 7.30am in the morning with my team to continue to provide the very best childcare for you. There will be a hot tea or coffee waiting for you.
