LAST weekend, TV star Kim Taylforth was having lunch with her agent and looking forward to a family christmas. The agents phone rang and it was Thameside panto chief Bruce James who was looking for an eleventh hour replacement for Sarah Thomas who had to pull out of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood in order to look after her ailing mother.
Minutes later, Kim’s christmas was on hold and she was speeding down to Grays to appear in the panto as the good fairy.
So, 48 hours to learn a whole script in readiness for the curtain to go up on friday.
We caught up with Kym, five minutes before the curtain went up for the dress rehearsal of the ever popular Thameside panto, to see how she was settling in.
