Following a year of success for Thurrock’s young string players, they would like to invite everyone to an evening of music with a seasonal flavour at the Thurrock Strings Orchestra Christmas Concert on Saturday 4 December 2010 at 7.00pm at the Culver Centre, Daiglen Drive, South Ockendon.
The concert will feature performances from a number of Thurrock Music Services string ensembles and also feature a number of guest solo performances. Tickets are available on the door for £4.00 each. Children under 18 years and OAPs are free! We hope to see you there.
Thurrock Music Service is providing instrumental tuition on a whole class basis to children at many schools within the Borough. These include string, woodwind, percussion and brass tuition to name but a few.
This is a great opportunity for many children that would otherwise not have the chance to learn an instrument. Some of the children in our concert on Saturday started their instrument in one of these classes – which proves they work!!
