Breaking news
Crews using specialist cutting equipment are attempting to free a woman trapped in her vehicle following a road traffic collision at the Chadwell St Mary crossroads.
The incident involved two vehicles, a green Ford Focus and a black BMW X5. Firefighters are working alongside an ambulance service team to free the woman.
Police are also in attendance.
At 16:41 hrs, the officer in charge reported that efforts were still being made to release the casualty.
Crews were using cutting gear and small tools.
