MILLERS returned from the south coast with a morale-boosting Ryman Premier League victory earned by two goals from Andy Howell.
He grabbed his first goal on the half-hour mark after his shot crashed off the underside of the bar to go past the helpless keeper from 10 yards.
The away team enjoyed the lead for most of the game and kept pressing.
However, midway through the second half the home team drew level through James Everitt.
It is credit to Aveley’s spirit that they didn’t take long to restore the lead when, just a couple of minutes later Howell received a well placed through ball and with the keeper advancing, clipped an audacious chip from outside the area, gliding the ball over him into the net.
