A NEW four year implementation plan for transport is being developed by Thurrock Council and is currently out for consultation on the plan itself.
The council’s Strategic Transport Department is seeking views from local residents and partners on the Strategic Environmental Assessment that accompanies the plan.
The Strategic Environmental Assessment for Thurrock‘s first Local Transport Plan Implementation Plan, aims to:
Identify alternative options for delivering sustainable transport improvements in Thurrock;
Identify and describe the environmental, social and economic effects of alternative options.
Enhance beneficial environmental effects of the Implementation Plan; and
Reduce and minimise the adverse environmental effects that may result from the plan.
All consultation responses received in relation to this report will be given consideration and, where appropriate, integrated into the final Implementation Plan.
The Strategic Environmental Assessment is available for comment between 13 January and 21 February.
The consultation document and feedback process can be found by visiting the on-line consultation page at www.thurrock.gov.uk/travel. Further information is available by e-mailing email@example.com or by calling the Strategic Transport Department on 01375 652014 or 652006.
