THERE is a lot going on at Grays library today. The fact that it is national “Save Our Library Day” is, we are firmly told, a complete co-incidence. But it is good to see national figures from Thurrrock such as Scoobius Pip, supporting the cause. (Very subtle-Ed).
But as we look to an uncertain future, YT interviewed Glynis Calvert, who, after 42 years of sterling service at Thurrock libraries, retires.
So, to all those, who were hiring out Abbey Road on cassette or Catcher in the Rye in print, here is Glynis.
