Detectives have appealed for witnesses after a man was stabbed at Purfleet.
The incident happened at Meads Corner, Arterial Road, shortly after 4am on Sunday March 6, 2011 as customers were leaving the Circus Tavern.
A 25-year-old man from Grays was stabbed three times in the torso after he and his friends are thought to have been involved in an altercation with a group of other men on a forecourt between the nightclub and a nearby petrol station.
The injured man was taken to a hospital at Dartford, Kent before being transferred to a hospital in London. His condition was said to be serious but stable.
The area was cordoned off while detectives and a specialist search team examined the scene.
