Super-Trouper raise hundreds for Oliver

A THURROCK drama group raised hundreds of pounds for stricken youngster Oliver Holmes by putting on a special pantomime called Snow White and Several Dwarves.

The show took place at the weekend at the Appleton School in Benfleet.
Over £200 was raised.

Highlights of the show are below.

Oliver Holmes is seven years old and has cerebral palsy. He is a bright, determined little boy but he physically struggles to keep up with his peers because of the stiffness in his right side caused by the illness.

Oliver has been accepted to have a life changing operation called “Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy” which would remove the stiffness and allow him to participate fully in activities.

The operation has 100% success rate in America.

In order for his parents to achieve this the family need to raise in excess of £40,000.
