Police are appealing for witnesses or information following two burglaries in Corringham betweeen March 25-26.
On Friday March 25 between 4.30-8.00pm a suspect smashed glass at a property in Vincent Close Corringham, made a messy search inside and stole a quantity of jewellery, a wedding dress and wedding tiara.
The second break in happened in Giffords Cross Avenue, Corringham between 9pm on March 25 and the early hours the following day. Someone again broke a window, searched the premises but nothing appears to have been taken.
Dc Dean Batson said: “Someone may have heard glass being broken and seen someone acting suspiciously around the area and I would appeal for anyone with information to contact me. In the first incident the house owner lost a wedding dress which would have great sentimenal value, so anyone who is offered a dress in unusual circumstances is asked to contact me at Grays Police station on 0300 333 4444 or Crimestoppers on the usual number.
