ON WEDNESDAY, YourThurrock will start its ward by ward reports as the local election campaign begins in earnest.
But before we do, we thought this would be a good time to speak to a councillor who is just completing their first year.
Far from sitting on the backbenches, Stifford Clays councillor Angie Gaywood has been thrown into the cut and thrust of local politics including the chairing of the health scrutiny committee.
Whilst doing this. Angie has maintained her role as a governor of an infants school; as a member of a village hall and a full time job as a mother-of-four.
Angie also wanted to take the opportunity to vent her frustration and anger at the Conservative amendments which may be the local issues which will dominate the election on May 5th.
