BISHOP Stephen Cottrell, the new Diocesan Bishop of Chelmsford, is visiting Thurrock next Monday 11 April, when he will meet with church leaders and enjoy a whistle stop tour of Thurrock.
The day will culminate with a Deanery Evening Service at 8pm at St Peter & St Paul’s Parish Church, Grays Town Centre, when Bishop Stephen will be speaking and sharing his thoughts for the future of the Church of England in Essex and East London.
Bishop Stephen said: “I was born and brought up in Essex, and it is still the place I think of as home. Now I have returned to this large, diverse and richly varied diocese to serve as your bishop. It is an immense privilege”.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
