THE THREE DAY music festival planned for the Essex Sports Village in Purfleet Road, Aveley has been cancelled.

YT understands that the financial backer and former owner of Grays Athletic, Mick Woodward has written to the local residents.

In a letter seen by YT the organiser has thanked the residents for attending a meeting last Monday and hopes it is the beginning of a “long lasting and positive relationship with every one.”

He goes on to inform the residents that they are postponing the event “for the forseeable future”

The event, ear-marked for the August Bank Holiday weekend had hoped to have Katherine Jenkins, Westlife and Boyzone.

The organisers have promised to keep the residents informed regarding their plans “If they do change in anyway”

Concerns regarding the festival had also been made by local councillors Wendy Herd, Amanda Prevost and John Cowell.

  1. I understand that SORA, have put plans in place to send there own group to the event, they are the Charlie Five band, and the Curtis Flower band, they have invited the late, Sir Eddie Stobart along with his Lorries, from the nearby Howard Tenens Yard in Stifford Road.
The Belhus councillors have organised a find the woods game, where people will have to find an ancient woodlands game, because they dont know where it is?. also spot the Eddie Stbart lorry competition, One is called Charlie Curtis and another Sue Gray the SORA Queen, the rare lorry is called, The lorry watcher.

  2. I wonder if they would object to the Belhus residents being the judges? But then again I think Mr Perrin whould be the fairest judge of us all.
Cllr Wendy Curtis could always offer Mick Woodward to do a party in the park if he is that desperate.
Danny you forgot to mention charlie Curtis wooden CHAIR with the words, Leave it with me I’ll sort it, if not Veolia will.
The SORA queen could always offer the Lorry watcher a Tonka truck, and let him go and play on the zebra crossing. All in All it would be a fun day.

  3. Thank you Nomad, for pointing out the fact that good old Charlie Curtis and his wooden chair, with the words burnt into it, Leave it to me and I will do nothing unless it gets in the papers or get some old age pensioner to say something good about him, like just in time for the local elections, I think it came as suprise that we found out about him being a elected chairman of Veolia group, because he never declared at meetings with Howard Tenens, until he found out by his own lies.
The SORA queen offer the lorrywatcher a, Plonker toy and let him going and play with on the outside lane of the M25.
Mr.P.Perrin should be the Chairperson of SORA, because he doesnt talk with a Forked Tongue, like all the other clingons that surround the present queen of tantrums who throws all her toys out of the pram, if she cant get her own way, and this is the person who says, she is a ward councillor and represents all the people in the Belhus Ward, and sits as Chairperson of the SORA group, its a case of the mental patients running the hospital, GOD help us all..
