ROYAL Opera House Education in Thurrock is offering fathers and male carers the opportunity to make music with their children in a free three day drumming course this Easter.
Daddy Rocks is a free creative music-making workshop especially for men and the children in their family. During the course, participants will work with a professional musician to learn how to play an African drum piece. They will also compose and perform their own pieces of music, as well as discovering new types of music, by listening discussing the various styles.
No prior musical experience is needed to take part in the Daddy Rocks course, just a love of music and desire to learn and share something new with your children.
Daddy Rocks will take place during the Easter weekend, on 22, 23, 25 April from 12noon until 4pm. It is essential that participants attend all three sessions. The workshop will be held in the barn at the High House Production Park, Purfleet. The course is free but a £20 refundable deposit is required to secure a place. To book a place or for further information, please contact Alton Brown or Shaun Bajnoczky on: 01708 891 200 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
