THE CAST from the TV hit show The Only Way is Essex will be among the attractions at this summer’s free T-Fest weekend.
The countdown to T-Fest 11 started — literally — with the launch of this year’s website (www.thurrockfestival.org.uk) on Thursday (21 April).
As well as TOWIE, Jamie ‘Afro’ Archer from X Factor has also agreed to appear while talks are being held with other potential acts and further announcements are expected soon.
Two sponsors have also signed up for the big weekend of 23 and 24 July at Grays Beach Park — Petroplus and South Essex College — and the hunt is on to find more.
Last year’s T-Fest proved a huge hit with local people as thousands descended on the park for a weekend of music, community projects and fun and organisers are hopeful this year’s will be bigger and better than ever.
The website, as well as including a second-by-second countdown to T-Fest 11’s start time, has details of how to become a sponsor, book a pitch or get involved in the many projects which are also a big part of the festival.
It also has details of competitions, including photographic, musical and T-shirt design.
For the first time, festival fans can now use Facebook and Twitter to follow the T-Fest build-up. Visit the website to find out more.
