Police investigating the death of a horse at a farm in North Stifford have arrested a man.
A 30-year-old man from South Ockendon has been arrested in connection with the death of the horse which was discovered on Monday, May 9.
A pony was found at the farm on Monday with injuries which proved to be fatal.
A 31-year-old man from South Ockendon was arrested on Monday, and released on police bail pending further enquiries until July 19.
Investigations to date have established that this man was not the person seen in the barn where the horse was found.
Three other people were also arrested today, two for assisting an offender and one for an unrelated offence.
