Following their recent success at the Thurrock local business awards, North Stifford based Pixelwork have now won the Countywide Essex Business award for Innovation for our digital and social media work on the Mobile Explorer at Coalhouse Fort.
In a black tie ceremony with around 600 entrants and presented by Natasha Kaplinsky the event showcased the best companies in Essex. Their award for innovation put them up against some stiff competition but in the end all the hard work and time spent on developing the Mobile Explorer over the years paid off for Matt Harris and the team.
As for the Mobile Explorer, the 1st of June is the official launch date at Coalhouse Fort. They have just taken ownership of 10 iPhones and custom protective cases for them, the App has been submitted to the Apple store and the whole content clean up is in progress.
Matt Harris said: “We’re really excited by this, we’ve won two awards for it, reception to date has been fantastic, community engagement has been tons of fun and we really think we’ve established a really successful framework for taking this forward.
“We also have garnered wider interest for extending this over a much wider area, so as they say, and it’s very apt with location based services apps… “watch this space”
