Mobile Library for Chafford

Following Chafford Hundred Campus’ decision to end support for the local library at the Mayflower Road site, Thurrock Council is to provide a mobile library stop on the estate.

From Friday, 17 June, the mobile library will stop at the car park of All Saints Church, Drake Road, between 2.30pm and 3.40pm.

Although the library at the school closed on Friday, 26 May, the council needs to inform customers currently using that mobile library slot that their service is changing.

Currently the mobile library is in Whitmore Avenue at that time on Friday afternoons. Customers are being urged to use it on alternate Thursday afternoons, between 4.15pm and 5pm when it stops in St Anne’s Close off Whitmore Avenue instead.

Thurrock’s mobile library is open to all and can provide all services available at the borough’s main libraries.

Details of its services and the dates and times of its many stops across Thurrock are available on the council’s website (www.thurrock.gov.uk) by using the A to Z for Mobile Library.
