It’s been another busy day for Hakan Hayrettin and club officials as three more players have joined for next season.
Defender, Craig Pope came through Barnet’s youth ranks eventually making a total of 31 appearances, scoring once in the Conference National over three years with the club. He left Underhill in 2003 subsequently joining Southern Premier League club Cambridge City, helping the club reach the Conference South. After four years at the club, he moved to City’s neighbours Histon ready for their first season in the Conference National. Craig made 69 appearances for the Stutes before signing for Thurrock in December 2009.
Following hot on the heels of Kenny Beaney, Lee Flynn is another that Hakan has worked with before, and the ex-football league player brings a wealth of experience with him, as he made almost 80 league appearances for Barnet between 2001 and 2003. He made his football league bow at the age of 28, but had spent the previous ten years in non league with Hendon and Hayes. He has since featured for Stevenage, Dagenham & Redbridge, St Albans, and has made over 120 league appearances for Thurrock since 2007.
Finally, Steve Northwood has signed on for a second season after making 36 appearances last season following his arrival in October 2010.
