Police in South Ockendon are appealing for help from the public with any information about a serious assault on a very vulnerable local man. This man lives and is often seen close to the shopping area in Derwent Parade. Sometime between about the 22 May and 5 June this year, this man suffered a serious assault, and is now seriously ill in hospital. He is very vulnerable, and didn’t complain about the assault at the time.

Police are hoping to hear from anyone who may have seen the assault, or who may have heard about it since. Please contact detective constable Dave Ford at South Ockendon on 0300 333 4444 or you can leave information anonymously at Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
