MIDFIELDER Steve Harrison, who announced his retirement from the non-League scene in the closing months of the last campaign after helping East Thurrock United to the Ryman One North title is planning to lace up his boots in the division again in the new season, having signed for Tilbury.
Dockers boss Paul Vaughan says Harrison 31, will add not only experience but more steel and leadership to his squad reports the Thurrock Enquirer.
Also signing for the Chadfields side are 22-year-old Tom Webb, who has played for Colchester United and AFC Sudbury last season and Emile Aiken, 27 a striker who played for Grays Athletic last season.
The Dockers defence is strengthened by 22-year-old Joe Nightingill, who has played for Colchester, Rusden & Diamonds and Grays Athletic.
Vaughan, who has been busy with supporters and club officials sprucing up Dockers’ Chadfields ground, said: “Tom who is a forward has lots ability will give a impact to the squad, he is a very attacking and exciting young player.
“Emile is a tall strong forward player, who quick and very confortable on the ball. Emile was a target of mine after after impressing when Ware visited Tilbury at the end of last season.
“Joe, who missed most of last season with a foot injury, is a very aggressive player and looking to kick start his football career at the Dockers. Joe will a very god asset to the squad.”
