Aveley Girls “Step Out” for Charity

THE GIRLS at Aveley’s Youth & Community Centre are putting their best feet forward to raise money for Breast Cancer. As part of the National Breast Cancer’s campaign “Step Out” the young people are organising a walk in the local countryside around Aveley on Saturday 30th July. The walk, which will be about 5 miles long, will visit Davy Down and the Mardyke Valley.

Although the Youth Centre staff and members are arranging and leading the walk anybody is welcome to join in (as long as you are a girl- age doesn’t matter!!). Already young mums from their own Little Adventurers, members of the Buggy Walkers and Community Mums have put their names down.

But there is plenty of space for more. The walk will start from the Aveley Youth & Community Centre at 11am. And don’t worry if you run out of breath, their minibus will be on hand to bring you back to the centre where there will be refreshments waiting.

To book onto the walk and get your sponsor forms please ring the Centre on 01708 86 2001
