Benyon primary cleared of “SATS fixing”

Benyon Primary School in Ockendon has welcomed the outcome of a SATs investigation.

Receiving news that the Qualification and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) found no evidence of irregularities with SATs papers, the governing body stated: “We are pleased with the outcome and would like to thank the QCDA for their swift investigation and assurance. When schools receive complaints of this nature it affects everyone.

“We would like to thank staff, parents and children for their patience during this difficult time.

“In addition we would like to extend our gratitude to Thurrock Council and the local community for their support. We are now in a position to move on and we look forward to an exciting end of term.”

The school expects to receive a formal report soon.
