Robbery at KFC in Grays High Street

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at KFC, Grays High Street.

At 9.50pm on Sunday, July 10, two suspects entered the store and jumped over the counter before demanding money from a male worker in his 40s. They then stole what is thought to be a four-figure sum of cash.

Investigating officer, Pc Nick May, said: “Thankfully the worker was uninjured, but this would have been very frightening for this man to be faced with two people demanding money. If you were in the area at the time and saw anything, we need to hear from you.”

The first suspect was a white man, wearing ankle-length grey trousers and a grey hoodie with red writing on the front. The second suspect was also a white man, wearing blue jeans and a green shell suit top.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pc Nick May at the Grays CID target team on 0300 333 4444 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555
