The second annual South Ockendon community day took place at the Recreation ground on Wednesday. The aim is to provide a fun day for bored children during the long summer break.
The day has a sports theme with various sports coaches giving classes throughout the day.
The day got off to a poor start as steady drizzle kept the crowds away in the morning but by lunchtime the skies were clearing and the crowds began to arrive.
