Ngage Volunteer Centre Launch

Ngage celebrated the launch of their new Volunteer Centre with the help of the Cllr Curtis, Mayor of Thurrock and more than 80 people including residents, voluntary group representatives and council officers.

Jayne Woodruff, Volunteer Co-ordinator for ngage said “We were thrilled with the amount of interest we had. 24 people signed up to become volunteers and local groups who regularly use volunteers found the event really useful and great for networking. People were interested to find out ways that they could become more active in their local community and some signed up to receive consultation alerts to keep them informed about new consultations”.

ngage will be holding regular events to promote volunteering and active citizenship opportunities. Their next event has been organised in partnership with Seabrooke Rise Community House for the Macmillan world’s biggest coffee morning on Friday 30th September, between 9.30am – 12noon at the Seabrooke Rise Community House, The Old Ball Court, Grays, Essex, RM17 6DR.
