THE FOOTBALL Association are set to launch an investigation into an incident at last weeks FA Cup match involving Tilbury.
Tilbury lost 2-1 to Arlesey Town but there was alleged to have been an incident where a spectator confronted a linesmen and assaulted him.
Tilbury officials have confirmed that the matter is now in the hands of the FA.
Tweeting from the game, Tilbury official, Karl Sharman said: “Dissapointed in what i saw today at Tilbury, to see a spectator hit the linesman is wrong & he should be punished not the club!”
Despite a renewed Respect campaign from the FA, each week there appears to be incident after incident involving criticism and intimidation of officials.
Brentwood Town are set to be reported to the FA after yesterdays game against Grays Athletic and other local clubs have had to warn their own officials regarding their conduct.
