THE RIO recycling quarry in Orsett was again the scene of a fire when firefighters were called there yesterday (Wednesday).

Firefghters had been called to the recycling wood yard due to a fireThe fire in a small wood pile buried underneath sand.

The fire was extinguished by 15:39hrs and the cause of fire is undetermined.

Earlier this summer a fire raged at the site for a number of weeks.
