A SOUTH OCKENDON artist will be exhibiting his work at an old fire station this weekend.
Hadleigh’s oldest civic building, which closed as a fire station in 2009, has been turned into a space for local artists.
Essex County Council paid for the refurbishment with funding from the Homes and Communities Agency.
Barry Andrews, 59, of Ash Walk, South Ockendon will be exhibiting a number of his landscape pieces.
The studios open from 11am until 5pm, on Saturday and Sunday.
The station is located on the main A13 past Rayleigh Weir.
