Traffic outside Deneholm primary: A fatality waiting to happen says councillor

A TORY councillor has urged to council to act over parking problems and inconsiderate drivers outside Deneholm primary school in Grays.

Cllr Joy Redsell told the council that she was worried that a child would be knocked down or injured.

She said: “It is very dangerous there. I can only see the answer being to close the road at key times.”

Responding, portfolio holder, cllr Val Morris-Cook said that a number of parking tickets had been served on errant drivers but also hoped that the imminent arrival of a CCTV car would create more robust action against the drivers.
