Campaign to bring Ryan home

ON 27th August 2011 Ryan Marven was involved in a minibus accident in Thailand where he lived with his girlfriend Rie Richardson.

He suffered a fractured skull and a bone fragment had to be removed from his brain. Following this surgery Ryan fell into a coma.

Friends and family are now trying to raise money to pay ongoing medical bills and, as soon as he is stable enough, fly him home.

Starting with a fundraiser on 21st October 2011, organised by Kellie Newton (Rie’s friend), it will be held at the Springhouse club.

They will be having a man auction, raffle with prizes donated by family, friends and local businesses, a DJ, live music by ‘Tall Dark Friend’, facepainting and entainers (‘Woody’ from Toy Story, ‘Iggle Piggle’ and ‘Upsy Daisy’ for the kids.

Also on 23rd October 2011, Neil Richardson (Rie’s Cousin) will lead a number of Rie’s family/friends in a sponsored climb of Mount Snowdon. Greg Richardson (Rie’s brother), Stuart Honour (Rie’s brother-in-law), Ian Richardon (Rie’s Cousin), Amanda Grove (friend) and Josh Grove (friend).
