FOLLOWING the clustering of NHS South East Essex and NHS South West Essex, Katherine Kirk (Chair of NHS South East Essex) has been appointed as Chair of the South Essex PCT Cluster with effect from 1 December 2011.
Katherine has been chair of NHS South East Essex since 2006 and has 28 years of experience working in health, local government and with voluntary organisations.
Katherine said: “I am very pleased to have been appointed as Chair for the South Essex PCT Cluster. I look forward to the new challenges that this role will bring. During this time of change for the NHS we must always ensure that the needs of patients are at the heart of everything we do. Andrew Pike, Chief Executive of the South Essex PCT Cluster said: “I am delighted that Katherine has been appointed as chair for the cluster. She brings with her a wealth of skills and experience and I look forward to continuing to work with her.
“I would also like to pay tribute to Derek Morrison as he leaves the office for his chairmanship of NHS South West Essex and overseeing a successful financial turnaround.”
