PARENTS of children starting school next year have until mid-January to apply for a place.
Thurrock Council co-ordinates primary school admissions for all pupils. Parents need only complete a single application – plus a supplementary form for Orsett Church of England Primary or Catholic primary schools
The easiest way to apply is via the council’s (www.thurrock.gov.uk) website and following the links.
The Primary Admission Information brochure is available online and includes instructions for applying.
It is essential applications are completed by the 15 January deadline to have the best chance of securing a place at a school you would like your child to attend.
Applications received after the closing date are treated as late applications, reducing the chances of children being offered a place at a favoured school.
The arrangements have been designed to ensure every eligible pupil is sent an offer of a primary school place on the same day.
The deadline for secondary school admissions has now closed and any applications received will be treated as late.
