Road rage on A13 as women beaten by gang

Police in Grays are trying to track down a motorist who came to the aid of a 42-year-old woman from Dagenham who was assaulted on November 19 in Thurrock.

The incident happened around 10.30am on Saturday, November 19 on the roundabout at the junction of the A13 and M25 and involved a black Vauxhall Corsa and blue Vauxhall Astra. The female driver of the Astra got out of her car, when stationary at traffic lights, to remonstrate with the driver of a car who had sounded their car horn at her, and she ended up in an altercation where she received bruises and scratches from the four occupants in the car.

A man came to her aid and the victim did take his phone number, but has recorded it incorrectly.

Pc Rachael Singh, who is investigating the assault said: “I need to speak particularly to this man. However the roads were very busy at this time and the incident caused the middle lane on the roundabout to be blocked, with traffic having to move around it, so anyone else who witnessed the incident should contact me at Grays Police Station on 101, or 0300 333 4444.”
