Daylight armed robbery in jewellery heist in Stanford-le-Hope

ESSEX Police is appealing for help from the public in tracing three men, one with a distinctive limp, who carried out an armed robbery at a jeweller’s shop in Stanford Le Hope.

Police were called at 2.50pm to a robbery that had just taken place at Stanford Jewellers in Kings Parade, Stanford Le Hope on Thursday, December 8. Two white men and one black man entered the shop and stole watches and jewellery. They got away in a black Volkswagen Passat car.

All three suspects were wearing balaclavas and gloves. Descriptions:

Suspect 1 – white man, 40 ish, stocky build, messy ginger hair, about 5ft 10 tall. He walked with a profound limp with his left leg. Possibly a deformed leg or false leg. He was wearing a shiny dark coloured puffa jacket with a hood, grey jogging bottoms, black trainers and produced a small black hand-gun.

Suspect 2 – black man, twenties, about 6’ 2”tall, slim build. He was wearing a black jacket with small white triangle beading around where sleeve joins body of the coat, black trousers. Armed with bolt croppers and a shiny black holdall like a sports bag

Suspect 3 – is described as a white man, twenties 5’11–6ft tall, proportionate build. He is described as wearing a navy blue hoody but drawstring around hoody was white, dark trousers and black trainers with white soles. He was armed with a hammer.
