POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an assault on a man in his 20s in Lakeside Shopping Centre on Boxing Day.
At 7pm on Monday, December 26, the man received injuries to his head, requiring hospital treatment following the incident outside Sportsworld, near the new Topman shop in the centre.
Investigating officer, Dc Rob Lewis, said: “We know that the centre was very busy with shoppers at this time, and we need witnesses to this incident to come forward to help our investigation. If this was you, please do the right thing and call us.”
A 24-year-old man from Hertfordshire was arrested on suspicion of assault, and has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries, until February 1.
