Detective committed to Crown Court over data protection charges

A SERVING detective has appeared at Basildon magistrates court for the second time over several allegations of data protection breaches.

Adrian Moir, 43, Valley Walk, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth entered no plea.

The charges relate to twelve alleged incidents between 2005 and 2011 where he obtained, without the consent of the data controller, personal data.

Moir, dressed in a grey suit was accompanied by his wife. A number of police officers were also in the court.

The case was committed to Basildon Crown Court for his next appearance on March 22nd.
