A CHILD was rescued after they were stuck on the ice on a pond in Chafford Hundred.
The crews were called at just before 5pm this afternoon to the Essex Wildlife Trust on Drake Road in Chafford Hundred.
Four engines attended including a swift water rescue unit.
At 5.10pm, fire crews reported that the child had made its way to an island and is no longer stuck on the ice.
Crews were wearing dry suits and laying out rescue paths to reach the stranded child.
The Child was rescued by 17:27hrs.
