FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire in a container crane junction box at Tilbury docks.
The electric junction box was well alight, a specialist electrician was requested to the incident to isolate the supply of electricity in the sub station.
Fire crews wore breathing apparatus and used dry powder to extinguish the fire by 03:36hrs.
A thermal image camera was used to check for any remaining hotspots.
