A last year’s sell out event…..Glee 2012 is BACK at the Thameside Theatre Grays on Friday 9 March 2012 at 7.30pm. This event offers local Secondary Schools the chance to participate in a ‘Glee’ Style Show Choir Sing Off! All groups taking part will have the opportunity to perform two songs in front of a live audience. Schools are invited to create their own unique singing groups, and are encouraged to join together with other schools to ‘Celebrate the Music!’
The Event is being run and organised by Thurrock Music Services Vocal Tutor Shana Elliott-Hayers along with Joanne Nyland, St Clere’s Business Manager and is once again supported by Thurrock Music Services, the Thameside Theatre and YourThurrock. This year’s Event will also be supported by Dancing Group Youth Creation, and Daryl Branch of Creative Blast Academy, who will also be hosting the Show!
Shana Elliott-Hayers said, “We are hoping this year’s Event is going to be even better than last year! We are very excited to have a variety of Schools, and local Groups involved with the Event and are overjoyed that we are also able to support and encourage our local Special School Treetops who will once again be taking part.”
Joanne Nyland added, “The Event is an opportunity for local Schools to get together and to perform live on stage without their being a ‘competition’ involved and this is something we are very proud of!”
