Weston-S-Mare 2 Thurrock 2
Blue Square Bet South
Thurrock made the long trip to the South West coast hoping the sea air may give them a break, but after just four minutes Sahr Kabba looked to have set Weston on their way when he stole in around the defence and blasted home the opening goal.
Thurrock kept their heads and were looking more composed at the back and kept the deficit to the one goal at half time.
The second period became edgy as Thurrock needed to push on but had to hold back the advancing Weston attack.
On 78 minutes Lee Boylan ended his goal drought when he fired in from close range giving the keeper, Lloyd Irish, no chance.
Before Thurrock had a chance to consolidate their equaliser they fell asleep at the back and Jamie Price was able to put Weston back in front in the 81st minute when unmarked he drove the ball past Hughes in the Thurrock goal.
With the referee playing an added seven minutes it allowed Thurrock to pull level in the dying minutes with a well directed header from Sam Cutler.
A well deserved point earned by Thurrock but even three points would still not save them from relegation, with only nine games remaining and fourteen points from safety not even Squadron Leader Roger Bushell, with the help of Tom, Dick, and Harry can save them now.
