Grays Ath club officials today hosted two members of the Isthmian Board at Rush Green for a preliminary ground grading review.
Nick Robinson and Roger Reed were shown around the site, including a walk around the pitch, the changing rooms and bar areas. There were positive comments regarding the work that has taken place to date, and for the plans that were outlined to them.
A Grays Ath spokesperson said: “There were positive comments regarding the work that has taken place to date, and for the plans that were outlined to them.
“Some suggestions were made with regards to certain areas within the ground which have been taken on board.
“These will be looked into during a review of what remaining work is required.
“It was confirmed that the ground doesn’t have to be completed by the 31st March, however further inspections will be carried out by both The Football Association and the Isthmian League to formally grade the ground at a later date.
“Everyone at the Club would like to thank those individuals who have given up their time so far in helping transform a ground that will be fit to play football next season. Further work parties will be required in the coming weeks, and further details will be announced once confirmed.”
