THURROCK Council and Essex FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) are working in partnership to deliver three Business Breakfast Briefings in the Borough during 2012.
Essex FSB spokesman for Thurrock, Steve Dickinson, said: “This new partnership with Thurrock Borough Council builds on our existing links. Our objective is to deliver a series of events for local businesses wishing to find out more about what the council is doing to support the local economy.
“The first event is on Wednesday 21 March 2012 at Orsett Hall when Thurrock Council’s Chief Executive, Graham Farrant, will be speaking about a range of projects in the area and how these can be accessed by local businesses.
“Also speaking will be Peter Stone who is Head of Procurement at the council and will be discussing how local firms can do business with the council while Helen Marini of Westminster Compliance will be explaining how small firms can join forces to form a consortium to give them a greater chance of winning major public sector contracts.
“These are topics which we think will be of direct relevance to helping local businesses and we look forward to there being a good attendance at its event.”
Bookings for the first event on Wednesday 21 March 2012 should be made at http://thurrockbreakfastbriefing210312.eventbrite.co.uk
