St Clere’s Under 10’s clinch league title

St.Clere’s Under 10’s recently clinched the Chelmsford League Brentwood Division 1 title by beating Hutton 4 – 0.

This is a great achievement as the team struggled at the beginning of the season, gaining only one point from the first two games. The team then put in some hard work in training and went on a super run winning 13 out of the next 14 games to comfortably win the title, with two games still to play.

Manager Neil Lane is proud of the boys success this season especially when they also reached the last four of the Chelmsford league cup. He commented ” after finishing runners-up in the Thundermite league last season I was looking for a new challenge and entered the team in the Chelmsford league. I could have opted for the easier option of a lower division but i wanted the boys to be tested so entered the top division. It is only when your players come up against the best that they learn and progress. The boys responded to this call superbly and wish to thank them for their hard work. Also thanks to the parents and sponsors Danes Catering and AJ Entertianer for their continued support. We have a new challenge next year with 9-a-side football and hopefully this is another test that the boys will pass with flying colours”,
