THE STEADY stream of Labour MPs visiting Thurrock continued as shadow business secretary Toby Perkins visited the Thurrock Business Network.

The meeting, held at the Thurrock Learning shop this morning saw representatives from over 40 businesses gather to hear Mr Perkins speak.

Mr Perkins was brought along by prospective parliamentary candidate (PPC), Polly Billington, who appears to have developed an excellent working relationship with the local business community.

  1. I second that, Who???

Labour must be really insecure about Thurrock if they keep wheeling out these minsiters from the commons to visit Thurrock.

  2. I think Labour sense that the Tories are over confident, and are concentrating on the marginals like Thurrock.
    The Conservatives will come!
    Won’t they?
    Or don’t they care?

  3. I have never heard of this man.

Shoving ministers on the C2C and up to Thurrock doesn’t show they care does it? Visiting a place for the sake of it is more about publicity rather than genuinely caring about local needs. It also gives Labour an excuse to wheel out Eds mate Polly to tell us how great she’ll make Thurrock.

I personally do not want to see one Tory minister after the other coming here.
