THIS is our last interview before the polling stations open tomorrow (Thursday).

We caught up with Labour candidate for Aveley and Uplands, Cliff Holloway as he finalises his quietly effective campaign in Aveley.

In 2008, the Labour candidate polled 363 votes (482 behind the Tories). Last year, Cliff polled 497 votes. He was in fourth pace but he was 129 votes behind.

It is a fascinating ward and anything could happen.

We spoke to Cliff on the high street to see how the campaign was going.

  2. I do not know Cliff personally but i think he has the right attitude to make an excellent councillor for Aveley. This is not the first time he has stood for election but he is determined to keep battling away. I hope that this year is the year he is successful.
