THURROCK Council’s strategic planning team has organised more public meetings where local people can give their thoughts on the many different types of development sites in the borough.
As well as the online consultation (www.thurrock.gov.uk) the council’s strategic planning team is attending various events to hear what people have to say and to explain the complexities of what is involved.
The next few weeks’ events are detailed below, but the full list can also be found online at the council site and through the strategic planning pages (www.thurrock.gov.uk/planning/strategic).
Members of the team will be happy to speak with residents and help answer questions at the events.
The Site Specific Allocations and Policies Development Plan Document – “Issues and Options” draft sets out in detail the council’s assessment of all the different types of development sites required to deliver the policies of the agreed Core Strategy
It designates areas of land for particular uses such as: housing, employment, retail, community facilities, transport, and open space.
The consultation runs until Friday, 8 June.

Here’s one question they should be asked. Why do you constantly ignore the views of the public and do exactly as you please even when it is blatantly against the public will?
